Beechcraft Aircraft Parts and Accessories: Fuel Selector Valves, Landing Gear Actuators and Landing Gear Gearboxes, and Landing Gear Motors

Over the last several months, we’ve covered a lot of different aircraft parts and functions as part of our goal to educate and inform pilots, mechanics, and aircraft owners about the importance of aircraft maintenance and keeping your systems in tiptop shape. In the next several articles, we’re going to take a deeper dive into all the airframes AAI supports. Whether your aircraft is Beechcraft, Bombardier Challenger, Cessna, Citation, King Air, or Piper AAI can help you get the parts you need better, faster, cheaper, and without losing quality. Regardless of what aircraft you own, AAI’s goal is to help you get access to hard-to-find parts without the headaches, long lead times, and high prices.

In this article, we’re going to look at Beechcraft, as well as a few specific parts that AAI specializes in. As a pilot, mechanic, or aircraft owner, we understand how frustrating it is to have a grounded plane. When you partner with AAI for your exchange or overhaul, you have options and high-level technical experience you can’t get somewhere else. Keep reading to learn more about how you can get your Beechcraft aircraft back in the air with AAI.

AAI Overhauls and Exchanges Beechcraft Aircraft Parts

AAI can help with a lot of different Beechcraft parts, including fuel pumps, alternators, check valves, de-ice valves, tach generators, landing gear, and many more. The most common parts AAI services are fuel selector valves, landing gear gearboxes (landing gear actuators), and landing gear motors.

Fuel Selector Valves

On an aircraft, a fuel selector valve allows the pilot to choose which tank is feeding fuel to the engine. Some systems require you to alternate between Left and Right tanks, while others offer Both positions. The selector also has an Off position. Some indicators that your fuel selector valves need attention include weak or excessive force to turn, smell of fuel in cockpit and failing to respond with rotated.

Landing Gear Systems – Landing Gear Gearboxes and Motors

Landing gear systems have a lot of different components, but for our purposes we’ll focus on two: landing gear gearboxes (or landing gear actuators) and landing gear motors. Popular Beechcraft aircraft such as the Bonanza and Baron aircraft use an electromechanical landing gear system consisting of the landing gear actuator, electric landing gear motor, rods and linkages to extend and retract the gear.  While most aircraft equipped with retractable landing gear utilize hydraulics, Beechcraft has proven its electromechanical design since the 1940’s. When the system is working properly, the gear comes up and down without fail.  However, small issues with the motor and actuator can cause big problems for the owner.  Problems such as worn motor brushes, cracked sector gears and bent attach points keep the system from operating optimally.  All these problems can lead to costly repairs down the road if ignored too long.  The landing gear system takes extreme abuse each time a plane takes off or lands, so keeping it maintained is extremely important. Keeping all these parts regularly maintained is an important part of taking care of your aircraft. With AAI, it doesn’t matter if you’re flying Grandpa’s two-seater or a corporate business jet, AAI will take care of your needs. When it comes to Beechcraft maintenance, you deserve transparent pricing, certified parts, and unmatched support. You shouldn’t have to worry about having to wait months for your part or getting a part that isn’t tested or safe.

When it Comes to Your Beechcraft Aircraft, You’re in Good Hands with AAI

When it comes to Beechcraft parts specifically, finding parts can be difficult and have more delays and obstacles. And if you can find the parts you need, the prices are often unrealistic for most people, causing them to turn to cheaper, lower quality parts. Long lead times and the risk of untested parts can leave you feeling anxious and wondering if you’ll ever get your plane back in the air. With AAI, we manufacture obsolete parts in-house to keep costs and lead times down. What does that mean for you? Well, you have options. If you have time to wait for your part, you can send it in for a repair. If you don’t have time to wait, we can ship parts the same day so you can get a replacement quickly without sacrificing quality.

Not only that, but AAI’s parts also come with certificates. We know you want certified parts for your aircraft. Cutting corners and sacrificing quality is not an option. When you work with AAI, you’re working with a company that is certified and trustworthy. Our parts go through quality control procedures so that you don’t have to question the safety or workmanship of the part you’re putting on your aircraft.

AAI Works on Many Beechcraft Aircraft Models
